Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been reporting for over 45 years focused on people suffering from conflict zones as well as natural disasters. Curry was a reporter in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry is a journalist, television anchorperson and reporter she was born 1956. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her a bachelor of arts in journalism. In her youth, she was exposed to many cultures. Curry was not able to attend one school in San Diego, Alameda Oregon, or Virginia over the course of two years due to her family relocated frequently. Ashland is where she completed high school. In Medford, she started her broadcasting career at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22, she was able to become the station's first female reporter. Then, she stepped on to become an anchor and reporter for KGW which is which is an NBC affiliate station in Portland. After four years, she was hired as an anchor by KCBS TV which is located in Los Angeles. In the course of her work with the channel for a period of 6 years that she was awarded the two Emmy Awards.
