Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been reporting for over 45 years focused on people suffering from conflict zones as well as natural disasters. Curry was a reporter in war-zones such as Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry is a journalist, television anchorperson and reporter she was born 1956. Her most well-known work is on Today the program, which is the National Broadcasting Co. morning news program that broadcasts daily. Curry is known for her coverage of emergencies and disasters that affect the human condition, especially in countries affected by conflict. Curry has a father who was an U.S. Navy sailor and a Japanese woman. She met her mother while working with their father during Japan in the aftermath of World War II. Family members were constantly in and out of the country due to her dad's military service. Curry was able to complete her high school education within Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her a bachelor of arts in journalism. In her youth, she was exposed to many cultures. Her empathetic attitude towards international affairs is probably due to her experience. Ann Curry is a well-known American anchor and journalist who works for NBC. Curry was not able to attend one school in San Diego, Alameda Oregon, or Virginia over the course of two years due to her family relocated frequently. Ashland is where she completed high school. In Medford, she started her broadcasting career at KTVL Channel 10 as an intern. At the age 22, she was able to become the station's first female reporter. Then, she stepped on to become an anchor and reporter for KGW which is which is an NBC affiliate station in Portland. After four years, she was hired as an anchor by KCBS TV which is located in Los Angeles. In the course of her work with the channel for a period of 6 years that she was awarded the two Emmy Awards.
